The Audition Date TBA for 2012. Please see the information & details on the Studio Bulletin Board & on the Web Site. We invite all students to participate in this exciting and wonderful opportunity.

All money received will be paid to the winner/s by IDS Cheque, and can be applied to anything at the Studio you wish.

Hope to see a lot of you this year...it is a great experience and good practise for all things dance, and even future job interviews!!!

 

#1 - Joan Kinley Memorial Scholarship
$1000.00 scholarship awarded to students who have the determination and patience to make things happen.

Applicants must (self) choreograph a dance and present it to the judging panel. Applicants are required to submit an essay. The essay must be a minimum of half a page and maximum of 2 pages in length, stating why they feel the desire to be a dancer.

Dancers will be marked on their written essay, organization, technique, choreography, personal presentation and grooming, artistry, performance quality and musicality. Dancers will be marked as individuals and not against each other and according to their age.

The recipient of a scholarship will be notified by the end of March and will have their name and picture displayed in the studio. The photograph will be used on this years recital poster. Upon accepting the scholarship, the student is expected to uphold the qualities portrayed in the auition, with respect and self motivation. The candidates must also show excellent attendance as they help to set a great example as a role model to other students.

The essay may be submitted at your audition. Audition date will be March 12, 2011.
