The Nutcracker is a wonderful holiday ballet that incorporates the worlds of dance, creativity and imagination. Would you like to become a cast member for Nutcracker 2011. Come and join Clara and Fritz, dancing mice, the snow queen and the sugar plum fairy!

This holiday tradition is one you won't want to miss out on! Nutcracker rehearsals and choreographies are complimentary to all students.

Rehearsals will be announced at the meeting on September 15, 2011 at 6:30 pm.. Once again, this year, we will be entertaining our local schools with our performance of the Nutcracker during daytime hours. Information regarding times and dates will be given after the schools confirm their bookings in the fall. In order to participate you must agree to attend all rehearsals, as attendance is crucial for a successful performance.

 

Please note the following:

• All dancers will be in this year's Nutcracker performance.
  
• Check studio lobby bulletin board on a weekly basis
  
• Dancers check the bulletin board in the lobby for the list of dances you will participate in
  
• Casting sheets will be posted - they will list what will be needed and what will be provided
  
• Other dances will require 1-4 (or even as many as 20) dancers, with each dancer having an understudy in case of illness or absence (this will also be posted)
  
• Rehearsals will take place as needed until all dances are choreographed and completely understood by the dancers
  
• We are looking for sponsors for this year's show. Please inform the studio if you know of anyone interested.
  
• We are always in need of volunteers - contact the studio for information.
  
• Nutcracker Board of Directors (This board will be selected at the meeting on September 18) Please let Richelle know if you can volunteer your time
  
  
• We look forward to presenting our 10th annual presentation of the Nutcracker and we hope you will join us.
  
• Each dancer will rehearse a Nutcracker dance for the last 15 minutes of their class from September to December.
